My Little Shoebox layouts by Cal

Cal couldn't wait to get her hands on the new My Little Shoebox releases and created some gorgeous layouts with it! We love how she's mixed the different ranges together.

Bloom:
My Little Shoebox papers from the Who's There and Enjoy Life ranges, bird box from the AC chipboard shapes, felt flowers, layered blossoms, tag, ribbon, Adirondak paint dabbers, dewdrops, AC thickers, colorbox chalk inks, ScrapFX chipboard bumble bee..

On the FX bumble bee, I first covered it in paint dabber, and then once it was dry, I drew little black lines with AC pen, then covered in Glossy Accents. The felt flowers were originally white, so I covered them with paint dabbers and then added the dewdrop stones once they were dry. I layered the blossoms, and then wiped over the tops of the flowers with the same paint dabber as the bumble bee to accent the colour of them more to match the base paper circle. I then added glossy accents to the centres of them. On the thickers naked chipboard alpha, I lightly stroked them with a paint dabber, and then chalk inked the edges.

Twit T'who?:
My Little Shoebox papers from the Who's There range, Thickers chipboard alpha, Thickers sparkly tiara accents, pom pom trim, ScrapFX chipboard owl, My Little Shoebox mini alpha, colorbox chalk inks, Adirondak paint dabber, stickles

I cut out part of the Wise Old Owl paper to make the decorative border on the left. I added paint dabber and stickles to the alphabet. On the FX chipboard owl, I painted it with a paint dabber and then stickled over it.

Apples of my Eye by Sarah Palmer

Sarah has created this layout for us using Crate Lemongrass papers. We love the stunning simplicity of this page.

Sarah says: As soon as I saw the AC scrolls and frames in my box of goodies I knew exactly what I was going to do with them...use them to actually frame the little pics on my layout!!
I used the back of the Crate Paper 'Orchard' for this layout and cut a piece of ' Lime' big enough to hold the frames, finishing it off with the title made using the alphabet stickers from this collection.

American Crafts layouts by Cathy

Cathy has created these fab layouts using AC Amplified papers, we love the way she customised her Thickers for the Trendy Boots layout:

Trendy Boots:
For this layout I used the scalloped edge of the 'Dancing Queen' paper, a strip of 'Boogie' & some of the 'Punk Rock' which I thought complimented my photo perfectly. I handcut a few of the shapes from the P-Funk paper & layered them with 3D foam to pretty up the corner of the journalling block. The Cream Soda Foam Thickers that I had for my title weren't quite the right shade so I thought I would experiment a little - I inked them up to take them a few shades darker & sprinkled on some clear embossing powder, with heat gun in hand I admit to being a bit weary, (at first thinking they would just shrivel up) but I had no need to worry, they turned out perfect! Thickers are even 'more' versitile than I thought and I for one will be trying a few more techniques with them very soon!

First Anniverary:
I wanted this page to have quite a simple background so I could 'showcase' the handcut flowers. The paper is foiled & is beautiful in real life.
I started off by matting my photo onto a strip of 'Boogie' paper which was cut the same width, I then cut out the 2 largest flowers with stems from 'The Hustle' sheet and stuck them flat to the page, next I cut the smaller flower heads & layered them on top using 3D pads for definition. My title is made up of 'Jewelry Box' thickers & Adornit tiny letters, the heart is from a punch.

Baby News!!!

DT member Louise has given birth to a baby boy! Drew Isaac was born after a 44 minute labour (I guess that raspberry leaf tea does work wonders!) and weighed 8lbs. Congratulations Lou and family, we can't wait to see pictures!

1999 by Sarah Palmer

Sarah has been playing with the gorgeous Crate Lemongrass range and sent us this beautiful layout she created.

Sarah says: For this layout I used the Crate Paper 'Tangerine' as the background, cut some of the 'Lemon' (love this paper, such a shame I don't scrap 12x12 anymore) so it went into the left hand corner, added the photo, used an AC frame to hold the title, used a scrap of MME paper from my stash for a little bit of journaling and finished it off by making a little bow from ribbon.
