New Funky Pink Glasses

Our final installment of Cathys gorgeous layouts using the Paper Trunk Socialite range.

I always matt or define the edges of my photo's but because I thought this collection to be quite graphic I thought I'd try something different!I started with a pink cardstock base and after placing my photo's where I wanted them I then cut the patterend papers to fit right up to them without leaving any space. At first I was going to place my title across the middle but thought it looked so much better in the space it is now!I painted the ScrapFX flourish with Adirondack Dabber & the bloom centres are Kaiser Rhinestones

O is for....

Here is the second layout Cathy has created using the Paper Trunk Socialite range,

This layout was quite quick to create.I started off cutting a large peice of orange cardstock & placing it off centre to the left. Then cutting several strips of various papers from the collection & framing my photo's. Note how I framed the right side of the photo's using the orange on the aqua. The circles are punched using a 1 1/4" punch & are raised using 3D pads, the centres of the blooms are Kaiser Rhinestones.

Who Is This Man?

Cathy has been working with Paper Trunks Socialite papers, another range which is very bold in both colour and design. She has produced some fantastic layouts which we will be sharing with you over the next few days.

This photo of DGD Olivia just had to be showcased with not much else on the page, but I still wanted it to be a bit girlie.I handcut the shapes from the patterend paper, (I love the lace effect this created) before placing on the black background. The fancy corner was then cut from one of the elements from the die-cut sheet & I used 3D pads to create some dimension, I finished off with my title using Pink Paisley Holly Doodle aqua & white alpha stickers, a few strips of patterend paper & another die-cut shape holds my journalling & is tucked under my photo.

Be Bold.

Sometimes scrappers can be put off using papers with large, bold patterns as we're not sure quite how to use them effectively on a layout without them appearing too overpowering, using the MME Andrea Victoria range Cal has shown us how to use them with brilliant results.

Lovely Lampshades!

I thought I would put together a class using one of my favourite paper ranges at the moment, Crate paper.

You will need.
Crate paper Lillian - Mellow, Blissful, glitter borders and alpha stickers.
Crate paper Little Sprout - Willow
Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
Journaling stamps.
Brads.
Alphabet stamps.
Small alphabet stickers.

1. Start with a 7x5 photo and matt it onto the Blissful paper, distress the edges.
2. Cut a strip of Mellow paper and cut a slit into the top folding back both corners.
3. Stick a small piece of Blissful paper into the gap and add a section of glitter border onto the top.
4. Pin the corners down using two co-ordinating brads.
5. Add a glitter strip down the edge of your Blissful paper, if you don't want to use all of your stip cut out two small sections to cover the areas that you want.
5. Cut down the Willow paper so that the scalloped border can frame one side of your photo, stick this just under the strip of Mellow paper.
6. Stick your matted photo onto your page.
7. Add the small circles that you push out of the Willow die cut and stick them along the edge of the Blissful strip.
8. Add your stamped journaling blocks and punched butterflies. Fix the butterflies on with embroidery thread.
9. Add your title directly onto your photo and add your extra journaling.
10. Doodle around the edge of your page.

Anyone spot the deliberate spelling mistake!!
